Testimonials

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the families since 1940 who have entrusted DiGiacomo Funeral Home to provide professional and caring services
during such difficult and emotional times.

Below, you will find some heartfelt comments from individuals who have graciously described their recent experiences with DiGiacomo Funeral Home in an effort to provide some insight to others who are considering our services.

(Families who have experienced our services prior to the implementation of our website in 2009 and who care to share with others their thoughts and feelings are welcome and encouraged to submit their remembrance.)

Lou & Sue - In a very hard time, both of you made this entire experience one that our family will never forget. Your attention to details made this a special farewell to Joe. Being able to rely on your experience and coordination of everything on the day of the funeral made us more relaxed and able to focus on saying goodbye to the greatest stepfather I could of had , and the wonderful husband that he was to my mother. I can't thank you and Sue enough for the special day you gave our family. Our family would recommend your services to anyone and everyone at St. Christophers Parish!!  Thanks again for all your support and making this experience a memorable one.

Lou,

Thank you so much for making up the special cards with our Mom’s picture. They look beautiful and we will treasure them (and share them too!).

We also want to thank you for getting us through the most difficult experience of our lives, and you did it with the utmost compassion, humor and professionalism. We are sure our Mom would have loved you!

Regards,
Rose and Angela Miriello

Our family has had the pleasure of working with Lou and Sue during our times of loss.  On each occasion we were treated with such warmth, sympathy and support that our loss was more bearable.  Lou and Sue add such a human element to all phases of the process, including the administrative, financial and spiritual aspects.  A true testimony to the invaluable service provided by both Lou and Sue is found in the multitude of positive comments received from family and friends who attended the services.  Another noteworthy quality of their family business is the teamwork that they deliver.  They work so well together with all ages, religious backgrounds and ties to the immediate family.

The last few years for my family have been rather sad with the loss of both my parents as well as my mother-in-law.  We have called on the DiGiacomo Family to support us through all three funeral arrangement and burials. There was never a doubt in my mind after my mother-in-law passed 3 years ago that when my father died unexpectedly just 3 weeks later that Louie DiGiacomo was who we would turn to again.  He, his wife, and employees have repeatedly shown a warm blend of professionalism, respect, with a very kind  and genuine personal touch that we have come to appreciate during these sad and confusing times. Lou has been readily available to manage every last detail:  "Donna, call me anytime" he would say.  We have been so impressed by the high standards to which he holds himself as well as his staff .  However, he also expects and demands perfection and respect  from the other service providers which work with him (e.g., florist, drivers).  We have come to trust that Lou would only work with "the best" as if the arrangements he was tending to for us were as important to him as any family member's funeral.  From the folding of the burial cloth at the church . . . to interactions with the clergy . .  to the assistance with the banquet arrangements, I have been so impressed with his commitment to caring, respecting our wishes, and the ultimate reverence with which he and his staff conduct themselves, that I welcome the chance to refer him to you and your family. Finally, an aside, during these very sad times, Lou has a wonderful ability to bring some lightheartedness into the room allowing us to smile through our tears.

Although we take for granted we will live a long healthy life, life can end unexpectedly at anytime for anyone of us. Such was the case of a dear friend of ours who was violently taken from this earth. The family called on Lou DiGiacomo and they couldn’t have made a better choice. Lou DiGiacomo and his staff showed a genuine respect and kindness, which in today’s world are often lacking. The family found absolute comfort in the manner that Lou DiGiacomo treated not only their loved one, but the entire family as well as friends. We cannot say enough about the professionalism witnessed at the services and it was obvious that the DiGiacomo Family would not have settled for anything less. At a devastating time in the life of any family, it should be comforting to know that your loved one is being well cared for. After attending a number of services at DiGiacomo, it became quite apparent that we will look no further than DiGiacomo Funeral Home for our needs.

Michael and I never had to make burial arrangements before so when Mike's mother passed away, we needed help every step of the way.  The DiGiacomos were a blessing during that very difficult time.  They helped us make all of the plans, offered suggestions and made us feel that nothing was too much trouble.
Several things stand out about the service we received from the DiGiacomos.  First, Michael's mom had been sick for a very long time and we were concerned about her appearance for the viewing.  Lou worked some kind of makeup magic because she looked absolutely amazing!  Secondly, because Mike is in law enforcement, a large number of professional and personal acquaintances attended the funeral.  The logistics of getting everyone from the funeral home in the Northeast to Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery were incredible and Lou handled everything with the greatest of ease.  Finally, when the number of people attending the luncheon tripled, Lou quickly contacted the restaurant with the change.
In conclusion, The DiGiacomos know their business very well and we would wholeheartedly recommend them.

Mere words cannot express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all that you did to help give Dad a proper farewell.  Every detail was perfect.  Lou, you did an AMAZING job on Dad's make-up.  Everyone commented on how great Dad looked.

On behalf of my sisters and myself, we want to thank you so very much for helping say goodbye to Dad with style and grace.

Your website is not only elegant but professional. I was saddened by the loss of Peter Shelinsky and was unsure of how to send my condolences to the family seeing I live in another state. Your website allowed me to send my message and feel the comfort that I was looking for. Please continue your efforts.
